The decision to take the locker out was not taken lightly. But the only way to get near the corner where the decayed wood behind the awning rail, turned out to be so frustrating, working through two of the cupboard doors! And the floor seat box didn’t help. There has been a previous repair in this area and a slight gap above the shelf towards the end could be seen. Replacing a larger piece of wallboard meant I would be able to have only two joins, hence a neater job.

Nearly out, then shelf came away easily.	In various places rivetted to wall  with these angled pieces.	All removed, some had come away by themselves.

Held by staples through the ceiling, these missed!	Now removed, there is full access  to the corner,	Previous repair will be tidied up.

Note: The locker top is held to the ceiling with staples through the ceiling ply and 3 screws driven through the roof support members from the top. Pry the locker down with scrap plywood and a chisel then cut the staples, same with screws using a hacksaw blade.
